Job Overview:
As a recruitment consultant at Hourglass Education, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, attracting, and placing the best educational professionals into schools and multi-academy trusts. You will be responsible for managing the entire recruitment process from initial client contact to candidate placement, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction for both clients and candidates.
This role requires a dynamic, proactive, and results-driven individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will need to have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for talent, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, candidates and colleagues.
Please note, this is a full-time role, based either in our office near Halifax, West Yorkshire, or central London. After a successful induction period, there is scope for a hybrid approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client relationship management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with multi-academy trusts, schools and other educational institutions.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored recruitment solutions.
- Regularly engage with clients, including client visits, to build rapport and gain a deeper understanding of their requirements.
- Provide ongoing support and advice to clients, ensuring their staffing needs are met efficiently.
- Candidate sourcing and management:
- Identify, source, and screen potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and referrals.
- Conduct in-depth interviews to assess candidates’ skills, experience, and suitability for specific roles.
- Maintain an active and up-to-date candidate database.
- Provide career advice and guidance to candidates, helping them to achieve their professional goals.
- Recruitment process management:
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from the initial job brief to offer and acceptance stages.
- Negotiate salary packages and contracts between clients and candidates.
- Ensure all necessary compliance checks and paperwork are completed before placement.
- Monitor and report on recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill and candidate satisfaction.
- Business development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the education sector.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the client base and increase market share.
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities to promote Hourglass and expand professional networks.
Qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience in recruitment, sales, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the education sector and understanding of school staffing requirements.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using recruitment software and applicant tracking systems.
