Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Physics to join an 11-18 secondary in Barnet from January 2025. As a Teacher of Physics, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students, fostering a love for the subject and helping them achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and interactive physics lessons to students of varying abilities
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with the curriculum, ensuring differentiation to meet the needs of all students
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the department's continuous improvement
  • Foster a love for learning and critical thinking skills in students through innovative teaching methods

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge and passion for physics, with a relevant degree or equivalent
  • Experience teaching physics at secondary level, with a proven track record of student achievement
  • Ability to differentiate teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion in the classroom and wider school community

Day-to-day
