Wanted: A passionate and innovative Geography practitioner with the desire and ability to spark students’ imagination in the subject!

We are currently assisting a mixed secondary near Slough as they look to appoint a Teacher of Geography to join them from April. Applications are invited from both experienced and newly qualified teachers.  The position is available on a full-time, permanent basis. The ability to offer a second subject within the Humanities faculty would be advantageous.

This mixed 11-18 secondary is based near the Berkshire town of Slough, and enjoys excellent transport links into London as well as the neighbouring counties of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. The school has a strong local reputation and is in the process of raising standards in all departments. Ofsted grade many elements of school life as ‘good’.  Its Senior Leadership Team are well established with a progressive approach.

It is hoped that the successful candidate will hit the ground running. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to relate to young people are essential, as is a thorough knowledge of the curriculum through Key Stages 3 & 4.
