Are you a passionate and articulate Design Technology teacher with the knowledge and creativity to have a positive impact on your department? 

We are currently assisting a mixed secondary near Slough as they look to appoint a Teacher of Design Technology to join them from January. Applications are invited from both experienced and newly qualified teachers.  The position is available on a full-time, permanent basis, with the opportunity for responsibility for the right candidate.

This mixed 11-18 secondary is based near the Berkshire town of Slough, and enjoys excellent transport links into London as well as the neighbouring counties of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. The school has a strong local reputation and is in the process of raising standards in all departments. Ofsted grade many elements of school life as ‘good’.  Its Senior Leadership Team are well established with a progressive approach.

It is hoped that the successful candidate will hit the ground running. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to relate to young people are essential, as is a thorough knowledge of the curriculum through Key Stages 3 & 4. This would suit a practitioner who has skills across Product Design and Resistant Materials.
